Former Ryder Cup captain Mark James was part of the design team that developed the course in 1994, which has been constantly improved over the years. The numerous improvements to the course, include several fairway ditches, a lake on the 13th, many reshaped bunkers and several new tees. The course has a grass bay driving range, an excellent practice area and a par three course. Major improvements in drainage and extensive pathway work has recently been completed allowing golfers to play all year round on summer greens and tees.
